One Earth One Ride
One Earth One Ride is a long-term global bicycle expedition initiated by Md. Amir Khan, an author and environmental advocate from the Sundarbans region of Bengal. Through this journey, the expedition seeks to connect communities across borders while promoting awareness of Water Security, Biodiversity Conservation, and Climate Resilience.
The first phase of the expedition will cover Asia over approximately three years, crossing 30–35 countries and travelling more than 20,000 kilometres primarily by bicycle. The journey combines scientific observation, environmental storytelling, educational outreach, and cultural exchange. Universities, schools, environmental organizations, and local communities will serve as key partners throughout the route.
Rather than focusing on speed or competition, the expedition follows a philosophy of slow travel. Every destination is an opportunity to document rivers, ecosystems, wildlife, traditional knowledge, and local solutions to environmental challenges. Through documentary films, photography, articles, and educational presentations, the project aims to create a lasting archive of Asia’s natural and cultural heritage.
The expedition is largely self-funded through personal savings accumulated while working in Bangalore. A significant portion of the essential equipment, logistics, and legal preparations has already been completed. External sponsorship is sought to bridge the remaining funding gap and enable safe, continuous field operations throughout the journey.
The project is designed to generate measurable environmental, educational, and digital impact while providing sponsors with authentic long-term visibility across multiple countries and online platforms.
